Girls basketball: Pandora-Gilboa wins key PCL matchup

KALIDA -- Down 10 points after one quarter, Pandora-Gilboa took control and outscored Kalida 43-24 in the final three quarters en route to a 47-38 Putnam County League girls basketball win Monday at Kalida.

Pandora-Gilboa (15-2 overall, 5-1 PCL) held Kalida, the No. 2 team in the Associated Press Division IV poll, scoreless in a 16-0 third quarter. Kalida fell to 15-2, 4-1.

Stephanie Recker led Pandora-Gilboa with 15 points. Taylor Hermiller and Leah Luginbill each added eight points, and Samantha Schmenk and Connie Schulte each scored seven points.

Stacie Heitmeyer scored 11 points to lead Kalida, which plays at No. 1 Ottoville (17-0, 6-0) on Thursday.

ADA -- Arcadia used a 27-15 edge in the middle two quarters to knock off Ada 52-44 in a non-conference girls basketball game Monday night.

Arcadia's Lexis Fleegle led all scorers with a game-high 17 points while Miranda Palmer chipped in 11 for the Redskins (10-6).

Tabby Jolliff led three Ada players in double figures with 12 points. Sam Fell and Malary Dumbaugh both chipped in 11 for the Bulldogs (8-9).

HOLGATE -- It was raining 3-pointers in Holgate on Monday when the Tigers connected on 9 of 17 treys in outgunning McComb 55-42 in non-league girls basketball action .

Morgan Keeterle bombed in four 3-pointers and led Holgate with 26 points. The Tigers (15-3) pulled away from the Panthers by outscoring McComb (6-10) 16-5 in the second quarter.

Shelby Wilson scored 12 points and Jackie Lepplemeier tossed in 10 for McComb.

FORT JENNINGS -- Fort Jennings trailed by three points at halftime but blitzed Lincolnview 21-4 in the third quarter to knock off Lincolnview 51-47 in a non-conference girls basketball game Monday night.

Lauren Norbeck led the way for the Musketeers (11-7) with 14 points. Teammate Taylor Wallenhorst added 11 points and Katie VonLehmden dished out six assists.

Shelby Osborne popped in 13 points for the Lancers.
