New Riegel (346) finished fourth, Carey (349) ended up fifth and Elmwood (376) placed 10th. Fostoria was last in the 15-team field with 427 strokes. North Baltimore's Corey Bean tied for fifth place overall with an 80. Jacob Frost (90) and Garrett Boyer (92) completed the scoring for the Tigers. Hopewell-Loudon sophomore Bryce Gorrell tied for third place individually with a 79. Mathew paces Kalida CELINA -- Four Kalida golfers posted sub-80 rounds as the Wildcats won their second invitational title this week by beating 22 other schools at the Celina Invitational at Fox's Den Golf Course on Friday. Kalida dominated the field topping runner-up Minster 307-325. Findlay's junior varsity team (350) was 12th and Ottawa-Glandorf (368) ended up 18th. Cody Mathew led the Wildcats with a 75. Neil Recker (76), Austin Horstman (77) and Zach Erhart (79) also played well for Kalida. Mitch Perrault led Findlay with a 79. Jarrett Quanrud shot an 85 and Van Mallett and Kirby Simeon both had 93s for the Trojans. Jaylen Von Sossan and Carson Williams posted the top scores for Ottawa-Glandorf at 87 and 90 respectively. Jake Hashbarger (93), Jacob Schroeder (98) and Tyler Deters (98) also played for the Titans. Kotey wins playoff WILLARD -- Liberty-Benton's Andrew Kotey won medalist honors in a playoff with Upper Sandusky's Daniel Newell to lead the Eagles to the team championship at Friday's Willard Invitational at Willard Golf Club. Liberty-Benton outscored Upper Sandusky 313-319 for first place. The host Crimson Flashes were third with 322 strokes. Kotey and Newell were tied after 18 holes at 75. Kotey parred the first playoff hole while Newell settled for a bogey to determine the medalist award. Jared Neiling and Brad Hoehne fired a 78 and 79 respectively while Tyson Neiling added an 81 to complete the scoring for Liberty-Benton. Stewart Young netted a 78 to back Newell for the Rams. Trent Howard shot an 81 and Alec Oney added an 85 to complete the scoring for Upper Sandusky.
