David D. Kretz

David D. Kretz has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Kretz is currently serving as the deputy commander of Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, Dover Air Force Base, Del. He has served in the military for 29 years.

Kretz is the son of Whitney Kretz of Ada, Ohio and Andrew Kretz of Galveston, Texas, son-in-law of Harold Compton of Belle Center, Ohio, and father of Benjamin. He is a 1982 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School, Mcguffey, Ohio. He earned an bachelor’s degree in 1993 from Park College, Parkville, Mo.

Timothy A. Brown Jr.

Army National Guard Pfc. Timothy A. Brown Jr. has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.  Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Brown is the son of Amy and Timothy Brown of North Baltimore. He is a 2012 graduate of North Baltimore High School.
