Findlay City Council agreed to help pay for downtown holiday lights during their Tuesday meeting. The city will pay a little more than $18,500 to the the Downtown Findlay Improvement District’s lighting project as a result. Councilman Ron Monday initially questioned the expenditure, saying that the cost was “excessive.” However after listening to arguments that the lights could help draw more people to downtown Findlay Monday changed his mind.
Julie Anderson represents the improvement district and said the lights will be installed by mid-November and will stay lit through the end of January.
