Deer-Gun Season Underway, Expected To Rake In Cash For Economy

The deer-gun hunting season is underway in Ohio, and once again it’s expected to be an economic driver for small businesses across the state. John Windau works for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife in Findlay, and says it’s estimated deer hunters will spend more than $260 million…

Windau says after careful consideration, for the first time deer hunting will be allowed until 30 minutes after sunset during firearms season…

Of course common sense safety measures are in play this time of year. Hunters must wear a “hunter orange” vest, and Windau adds if you plan on taking a nature walk this time of year it’s probably a good idea to wear orange as well.
