More details are coming out in regards to a shooting Saturday night northeast of Findlay in Cass Township. Detective Sgt. Jason Seem spoke to the Courier Tuesday and said the victim of the shooting is not being publicly identified for his protection. The man, who neighbors say went by the nickname “Scorpion,” is expected to recover.
The shooting took place at a home at 15270 Cass Township Road 215, about two miles northeast of Findlay Saturday night. Sheriff Michael Heldman tells the newspaper the property is occupied by a group that calls itself the Barbarians. Sgt. Seem says deputies have been called to the motorcycle club before for nuisance complaints, but haven’t been there lately.
People who live in the area wouldn’t identify themselves, but say the motorcycle club moved into the area around four years ago. A swastika flag hangs in the window, and the initials B.F.F.B, which stands for “Barbarians Forever, Forever Barbarians,” are on the mailbox.
Others in the neighborhood said that overall the bikers were respectful overall.
