The Findlay man accused of killing his infant son made a brief court appearance Thursday. A pretrial hearing for Jerrod Hartman saw his lawyers tell Judge Joseph Niemeyer they were waiting to receive more records from the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

Hartman is facing charges of murder and endangering children following the death of 44-day-old James Hartman on October 28. Police say the boy died from multiple blunt force trauma at Hartman’s Third Street home.

Another hearing is scheduled for January 30.
