Fire Brought Quickly Under Control At St. Paul’s

More details have been revealed about a fire at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in downtown Findlay this morning. An e-mail to church members said the fire was electrical in nature and detected in the ceiling of the sanctuary. A fire department dispatcher reported that the fire was quickly contained. One employee was in the building when the alarm sounded and was able to get out unharmed. The call came in around 9 o’clock this morning.

Members were advised in the e-mail that considerable clean up will need to be done in the days ahead. The congregation will hold services at Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend Park at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
