A civil rights complaint filed by former Hancock County Regional Planning Executive Director William Homka have been dismissed. Desmon Martin, director of enforcement and compliance with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, said his board voted on August 16 to dismiss two complaints filed by Homka according to the Courier. Homka’s complaint of discrimination due to disability was filed against the City of Findlay, the Hancock County commissioners and the planning commission.
Homka was fired by the planning commission’s executive board back in October. He served as executive director since 2004. The Courier filed a Freedom of Information Act request today for access to the Civil Rights Commission’s files on their investigation of the case.
