Fostoria’s New Ambulance Arrives

12/17/13 10:50 a.m.
Fostoria Mayor Eric Keckler announced the arrival of a new ambulance to the finance committee Monday. Fostoria Fire Chief Keith Loreno said the highlight of the $198,000 emergency vehicle was the auto loading system, which can lift up to 700 pounds at the push of a button according to the Review Times. Loreno said it will be safer on the EMT’s by reducing the risk of injuries from lifting. The ambulance is expected to last more than 15 years and is expected to go into service after the first of the year.
