Grant To Help Allen County With Reentry Court

2/21/14 – 7:44 A.M.

A state grant will help fund a new drug reentry court program in Allen County. The Lima News reports a $375,000 state grant from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction will be used to help people convicted of fourth and fifth degree felonies to deal with their drug and alcohol addictions.

Allen County drug court coordinator Ed Monfort tells the newspaper the program is much more intense than typical probation. Part of the money will be used to provide addiction suppressing drugs to those in the program that can not afford them.
