Guilty Plea Entered In Carey Bank Robbery Case

2/6/14 – 9:10 A.M.

The man accused of robbing the First Citizens National Bank in Carey has pleaded guilty. The Daily-Chief Union reports 38-year-old Chad Gossman waived his right to a preliminary hearing this week. He faces up to three years in prison and a fine of $10,000 when he is sentenced.

Gossman admitted to entering the bank on January 14 and demanding cash from a teller. He kept one hand in a pocket at all times during the incident. According to the newspaper, Prosecutor Jonathan Miller said that move suggested Gossman had a weapon.
