iStock/Thinkstock(LONDON) — The way to a man’s heart may be to keep him hungry, especially if you’re a woman with curves.
That seems to be the key point of a Westminster University study, which actually examined what impact appetite has on whom men and women are attracted to.
According to psychologist Viren Swami, while both genders seem to hunger for larger people when their stomachs aren’t full, men are particularly susceptible to this phenomenon.
Swami had 260 men look at photos of women and those who were hungry, generally found larger women more attractive.
He theorized that when people are starving, they seek out others who look like they can provide sustenance. However, another psychologist, who wasn’t part of the study, believes it might have more to do with the fact that the section of the brain that controls hunger is also responsible for our libido.
