Jobless Numbers Edged Up Slightly In November

Hancock County jobless numbers ticked up slightly in November. The unemployment rate increased to 5.8 percent in November from 5.6 percent the month before. Hancock County’s rate is still ranked sixth lowest in Ohio. Unemployment edged up in most of the surrounding counties. Seneca County at 7.1 percent up from 6.8, Wood County at 6.9 percent up from 6.8, Wyandot at 6.3 up from 6.1 and Hardin at 7.4 percent up from 7.2. Putnam and Allen County jobless numbers remained unchanged at 5.9 and 7.7 percent respectively.
