Fostoria Mayor Eric Keckler is now on the same page as county officials about the future of the Early Childhood Development Center. Opportunity Center Superintendent Lewis Hurst talked about the possibility of selling the building the development center is located in last month. The problem was that Keckler hadn’t been informed.
Keckler tells the Review Times he’s had a chance to meet with everyone involved now, and has a better understanding of the issue. He said he wanted to make sure the program wasn’t lost altogether.
Right now the county is only exploring the possibility of selling the building to the Wood Sandusky Ottawa Seneca Community Action Committee. If they would sell, the center could still operate from there, or find a new location in Fostoria.
