ODOT Spends Millions In The Area To Keep Roads Clear

3/31/14 – 4:55 A.M.

You’re happy the brutal winter is starting to fade, but probably not as happy as the people in charge of budgets at ODOT. The agency recently released the final numbers for keeping the roads clear in District 1. For Hancock County alone ODOT spent more than $1.3 million to plow and salt area highways.

Putnam, Allen, and Wyandot Counties were also over the million dollar mark.

If you’re keeping score at home, that’s more than $4 million on just four counties in the eight county district. Last winter ODOT spend $4.4 million for the entire area.
