The Affordable Health Care Act goes into effect next year, like it or not, and many are asking how the program works. Courier reporter Sara Arthurs wrote an article which will be the Saturday Special in the Courier and talked about it with Chris Oaks on Good Mornings this morning..
The federal government now has a website called Healthcare.Gov where health care plans can be reviewed. There will be a window of opportunity to get signed up for a health care plan, otherwise you will be locked out until the following year..
The penalty for not signing up for health care by March 31st is one percent of a person’s income or $95, whichever is greater and will go up in subsequent years.
