One Arrested After Weekend Chase On I-75 In Findlay

1/27/14 – 5:01 A.M.

A chase on I-75 over the weekend led to the arrest of a Detroit man. The State Highway Patrol reports a trooper attempted to stop a southbound car for a lanes violation in Findlay just after midnight Sunday. The driver responded by turning off his headlights and speeding off. When he got to the rest stop south of town he slowed to 5 miles-per-hour, allowing three people to get out and run. One of the people was holding a small child.

The driver then made a u-turn, crossed over to the northbound lanes, and sped off again. He eventually crashed in Wood County near the U.S. 6 exit south of Bowling Green. The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Ted Price, took off on foot but was arrested a short time later. Price was charged with failure to comply. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Michigan.

The people let out of the car were taken to the Findlay patrol post for further questioning.
