Ohio Northern University unveiled a plan today that will work to drive the cost of a college education down while driving the school’s graduation rate up. Called “The Ohio Northern Promise,” the programs biggest impact will be in terms of college tuition. A release from the university says ONU will lower tuition rates by 20% to 25%. Net tuition for current undergrads will be frozen next year.
The program will also offer a four-year graduation guarantee to try and lower student debt. Students who meet certain standards will be allowed to take an additional semester of schooling at no cost if they are going to be short a few credit hours at the end of four years.
