Putnam Co. Flooding Reveals No Real Surprises

Putnam County’s Emergency Management Agency director said there were no real surprises from this week’s flooding. EMA Director, Steve Odenweller said reports indicate about a dozen homes in Putnam County received some water damage according to the Courier. One Ottawa business was also flooded, but Odenweller said the owners have it down to a science in terms of moving inventory out of harms way. He said, “Overall, other than curtailing foot traffic, I don’t believe the Ottawa businesses were all that affected by the water like they have been in the past.
