A Kenton man was killed, another badly injured when the truck they were traveling in was hit by a train Tuesday afternoon. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 2:30 p.m. 23-year-old Joshua Todd of Kenton was driving west on Township Road 168 near U.S 68 south of Findlay when Todd approached a CSX rail crossing and failed to yield to an oncoming train. His truck went airborne following the collision, slamming into a utility pole.
A passenger in the truck, 23-year-old William Craig, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Todd was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent’s in Toledo. His condition has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
