Van Buren Man Arrested Following Police Chase In Findlay

12/8/16 – 5:19 A.M.

Findlay police arrested a Van Buren man following a short chase in the city early this morning. Lt. Robert Ring says an officer tried to stop 38-year-old Joseph Miller in the 500 block of East Street around 12:30 a.m. Miller took off, leading officers on a chase that included parts of East Street, East Lima Street, and a couple of alleys in the neighborhood. Miller allegedly got out of his car and tried to run away, but officers arrested him a short time later near a house in the 300 block of East Lima Street.

Ring says officers found a “substantial amount of suspected crack cocaine” on Miller. Police have charged him with possession of cocaine and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
