HATS Accident Sends One To Hospital

A Findlay woman went to the hospital after an accident involving a HATS bus and a truck Friday. Findlay Police Department reports that the accident happened around 4:15 p.m. 71-year-old Joseph Ramsey was driving the HATS bus on West Main Cross Street when 64-year-old Paul Augsberger tried turning east onto the road at the I-75 exit ramp.

They crashed in the intersection. Hanco EMS took 81-year-old HATS passenger Phyllis Schultz to Blanchard Valley Hospital as a precaution.

Ramsey and Augsberger both claimed to have the green light. Officers didn’t issue any citations since there were no witnesses.
