Commissioners Approve Drainage Project For Western Meadows Subdivision
10/10/18 – 4:49 A.M.
A drainage project is moving forward in the Western Meadows subdivision. The Hancock County Commissioners approved plans to build an outlet line from Nevada Lane to County Road 140 during their Tuesday meeting.
The drainage work will prevent flooded streets in the subdivision. The engineer’s office expects it to fix sanitary sewer issues and prevent property damage to homes and roads
The project cost is around $270,000, plus $40,000 for engineering. The county will pay for the work. Property owners will reimburse the county through assessments.
The commissioners voted against extending the line all the way down West Sandusky Street. That would have cost an estimated $807,000 plus engineering costs.
