State Patrol Urges Teen Safety Behind The Wheel
10/23/18 – 12:56 P.M.
This week is National Teen Driving Safety Week and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Findlay post wants to remind teens of the dangers of reckless driving. According to a release, car accidents are the leading cause of death in teens. In Ohio, teen drivers were involved in over 135,800 crashes from 2015 to 2017. The teens’ actions contributed to 15 percent of the crashes. Crashes where the teen was at fault resulted in 285 casualties and over 41,900 injuries.
The patrol urges parents to talk about safe driving and to impose driving restrictions to keep teens safe.
