New Findlay Police Officers Sworn In

The Findlay Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of two new police officers, Logan Sheets and Ryland Ernest. Both were officially sworn in this morning by Mayor Christina Muryn.

Sheets, 27, is a graduate of Arlington High School and previously served at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer for just over a year. Sheets resides in Findlay with his family.

Ernest, 21, graduated from Arcadia High School and attended Ohio Northern University working towards a Criminal Justice degree. He previously worked at Clouse Construction Corporation. Ernest resides in Bluffton with his family.

Both officers will attend the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy at the Ohio State Highway Patrol to obtain their Ohio Peace Officer Certification. Upon successful completion of the academy, they will be assigned to the department’s Patrol Division.
