Change Regarding Mail-In Ballots Goes Into Effect In Ohio

(ONN) – There is a new law in Ohio regarding mail-in absentee ballots.

Senate Bill 293 is now in effect – the new law that eliminates the previous four-day grace period for mail-in ballots.

The grace period was made to offset mail service issues.

Now, unless a ballot comes from military voters overseas, all ballots must be received by the board of elections by the time the polls close on Election Day to be counted.
