ODOT Installs Cameras To Detect Wrong-Way Drivers
(ONN) – The Ohio Department of Transportation is working to reduce the number of wrong-way crashes on the state’s highways.
More than 30 cameras detecting wrong-way drivers are now up and running on various highway ramps across Ohio.
The cameras detect wrong-way drivers as they are getting on the highway and immediately alert dispatchers.
This allows police to respond faster.
According to ODOT — wrong way driver crash numbers have been decreasing since many cameras were installed in 2022.
