Hancock County Humane Society Overflowing With Dogs
(From the Humane Society and SPCA of Hancock County)
We’re going to be honest with you… we need help.
Right now, the Hancock County Humane Society is overflowing with dogs. Every kennel is full, and then some. Our staff is working nonstop to care for them all—feeding, cleaning, walking, loving—but we are tired… and more importantly, they’re tired too.
These dogs aren’t meant to live in kennels.
They’re meant to be on couches. In backyards. Riding shotgun. Stealing your socks.
Instead, they’re going a little kennel crazy (and honestly, can you blame them?). They watch every person who walks by, hoping this is the one… the one who takes them home. The one who finally picks them.
And when that door closes and they’re still here… a little bit of that hope fades.
We joke to get through the hard days—because if we don’t laugh, we might cry—but the truth is:
-These dogs need homes.
-They need people.
-They need you.
If you’ve ever thought about adopting… now is the time.
If you’ve been “just looking”… come meet them.
If you can’t adopt, please share this post—you might be the reason they get seen.
Help us turn wagging tails into forever homes.
