Fire Department Conducts Maneuverability Drills

This week, members of the Liberty Township Fire Department utilized the mild spring temperatures and occasional rain storms to conduct closed course driver training operations.

In doing so, they not only became more familiar with their equipment but also gained confidence in their ability to maneuver the township fire apparatus through simulated hazards.

The modified course focused on backing into a loading dock, parallel parking, a diminishing lane of travel, and culminated in a forward and reverse challenge through a serpentine course.
