Multiple Departments Battle House Fire South Of Findlay
A house south of Findlay was severely damaged in a fire.
The fire at 14771 County Road 75 began a little before 1 p.m. on Monday, sending smoke high into the sky.
Firefighters from Arlington, Liberty Township, and Southwest Hancock Joint Fire District were among those who responded to the blaze, as well as Appleseed EMS.
WFIN was told the fire appeared to start in a garage/shop area and then spread to the house.
We were told the occupants of the house and their dogs were not injured.
The house is owned by Karl Heminger, one of the owners of Findlay Publishing Company and WFIN.
Karl and his brother Kurt grew up there, and Karl lives there currently.
The house was built by their grandfather.
