New Bill Would Change When Teen Drivers Can Get A Learner’s Permit
(ONN) – A new bill would change when Ohio teenagers could get their driving learner’s permit.
Ohio lawmakers are considering legislation that would lower the required age for teens to get a learner’s permit to 15.
Right now, they have to be 15 years and six months old.
The bill would also require teens to have their permit for at least a year before taking a road test instead of six months.
The required driving hours would remain the same.
The Ohio Senate has passed this bill, and it was introduced in the Ohio House.
