Amendment To Ban Data Centers In Ohio Falls Short Of Signatures
(ONN) – A group pushing to ban large data centers in Ohio will not get its proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot.
Conserve Ohio announced they’ve collected about 70,000 voter signatures so far.
They needed more than 400,000 by July 1st.
They also say more than 1,000 volunteers have joined the cause.
The group says it will continue to collect signatures to try to get the proposed amendment on the 2027 general election ballot.

In April, Findlay City Council approved an ordinance imposing a 12-month moratorium on data centers within city limits.
