Ohio Economic Impact Study Conducted
(ONN) – A new economic impact study portrays a dark economic future for the state of Ohio.
The Commonwealth Fund report states that the Medicaid and food assistance cuts that go into effect in January from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will cost the Buckeye State more than 50,000 jobs and remove $5.3 billion from the state’s gross domestic product by 2029.
Healthcare will suffer the greatest job losses.
SNAP work requirements in a down hiring market further exacerbates the problem.
Rural residents will also suffer.
