Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA) has added two new members to its board of trustees and re-elected two current members, the organization announced today. The board approved the slate at its June meeting, with terms beginning in July.
Joining the board are Kurt Ohlrich and Jeffery Brust, both Findlay residents who bring deep financial expertise to MCPA as it pursues the ambitious financial goals included in Vision 2035, its ten-year strategic plan.
Kurt Ohlrich
Kurt Ohlrich brings more than 25 years of financial leadership to the board. As Chief Financial Officer of The Mennel Milling Company, the fourth largest flour milling company in the United States, he oversees finance for an operation that spans more than 35 sites across seven states and recently acquired North America’s second largest flour mill in Toledo. Before joining Mennel in 2015, he served 16 years as CFO of Rowmark, LLC in Findlay. He holds a BBA in Finance from Kent State University and an MBA from the University of Findlay. He is the father of two grown sons.
Jeffery P. Brust
Jeffery Brust is a Certified Public Accountant who advises small and medium sized businesses across industries ranging from professional services to manufacturing. Brust was inspired to join the board after attending a Live @ Armes show, where the quality of the talent made him want to help keep the performing arts thriving in the community for years to come. He is married with two adult sons.
Both Ohlrich and Brust will be members of the organization’s finance committee.
The board also re-elected Michael Lewis and Marie Swaisgood to second full terms running through June 2029. Lewis will serve as MCPA’s Vice Chair in the coming year and Swaisgood will be the chair of the Development Committee.
“Kurt and Jeff bring exactly the financial discipline this moment calls for, and Mike and Marie have earned the board’s confidence many times over,” said Rick Lofgren, Board Chair. “Together they strengthen the foundation we are building for the next decade.”
