Hancock County Residents To Receive Free Eye Exams And Glasses

For two days, VSP Eyes of Hope is partnering with The Family Center to provide free eye exams and prescription glasses to approximately 100 local residents who are living without access to this critical care. This is in addition to the life-changing social services the center already provides. About 3.8 million Ohioans are living with a vision problem and the estimated financial burden to the state’s economy is $6.1 billion annually.

Qualifying individuals can book an appointment by clicking here or calling (419) 425-5988. Walk-in appointments may be available depending on sign-ups. To qualify, patients must not have vision coverage through a private insurer or government program

For more than 20 years, VSP Eyes of Hope has partnered with eye doctors and community organizations to expand access to vision care nationwide. To date, more than 4.5 million people have received free eye care and eyewear through the program.
