BVHS Golden Apple Volunteers Gain Hands-On Experience

Meet Brooke, Gabi, and Chloe, our spring 2026 Golden Apple Volunteers!

Over the spring semester, these future healthcare professionals gained hands-on experience working with older adult patients at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Each week, they connected with patients through games, crafts, and conversation, ensuring they felt safe and supported throughout their stay.

Through the program, they refined their bedside manner and grew comfortable rounding on patients in a hospital setting, giving them a head start on the most important part of their chosen career: providing quality patient care.
