Soy Check-off dollars at work and the importance of farmer involvement

It all starts with farmers having a conversation. Every relationship begins with two individuals communicating. It is actually that simple. Creating market demand for soybeans begins with two people talking about how to meet each other’s needs as one has a supply and the other a demand. When the supply and demand volumes get larger, the conversations grow as well. “For 35 years the United Soybean Board, funded by soybean farmers and their check-off, has been knocking on international doors, developing relationships, and driving innovation to ensure that there is opportunity for domestic demand as well as international,” said Lucas Lentsch, Chief Executive Officer of the United Soybean Board. “At the end of the day we are knocking on doors because of farmer investment.”
