The power of prayer in tough 2024

For many in Ohio agriculture, 2024 has been a particularly challenging year. As harvest wraps up and the season of thankfulness draws near, 2024 has offered plenty for farmers to reflect on, learn from and pray about. Please do not overlook the power of prayer in a year such as this.

“The basic concept of prayer is communication with God. We believe that God is a relational God. He wants to be involved in our lives,” said Chris Reed, associate pastor and director of Biblical education for The Tree Church in Lancaster. “It is both talking and listening. We can bring our requests to God, but prayer also gives us an opportunity to hear from God and to allow our hearts and minds to be changed, to be reminded of the truths that God gives us through His word.
