Injuries & Moves: Guards add Allard on Minors deal

Feb. 3: LHP signed to Minor League contract with an invite to Spring Training
Cleveland’s hope is to add as many starting pitching options for the 2025 season as possible. Allard has played in parts of seven Major League seasons, including four with the Rangers (2019-22), two with the Braves (’18, ’23) and one with the Phillies (’24). Most recently, the lefty made seven appearances (four starts) with Philadelphia, with a 5.00 ERA, 23 strikeouts and eight walks in 27 innings. If Allard doesn’t work into the mix, he could also be a depth option for the Guardians’ bullpen.
