Blanchard Valley Health Systems Creating Bleed Kits

Blanchard Valley Health System’s Emergency and Trauma Services Department is working on “Stop The Bleed” Kits. The kits contain gauze, gloves, tourniquets, markers, and other materials used to stop uncontrollable bleeding. The department will use the kits to educate the community on how to stop a bleed. The kits will also be given to schools across Hancock County, major businesses, and law enforcement.

BVHS is doing this as part of the American College of Surgeons’ “Stop the Bleed” campaign.
