Carey Getting Second Resource Officer For School

The Carey School district will have an extra school resource officer this year. Village council approved a contract with the school during their Monday night meeting. The contract says the village will pay 25 percent of the officer’s salary plus benefits. Council passed the measure on an emergency so the officer can start at the beginning of the upcoming school year.

Carey will now have two school resource officers working in the district.
