Concerns Raised Over McComb Safe Routes To School Proposal
8/14/18 – 6:58 A.M.
Some McComb residents have concerns about the details of a proposed Safe Routes to School program. Around 12 people attended Monday’s village council meeting to talk about the plan that calls for building new sidewalks and crosswalks for kids who walk to school.
Residents at the meeting asked about how the sidewalks could affect drainage. Others said they weren’t aware of the proposal that council approved two years ago. A few said kids would walk in the street even if there are new sidewalks.
Beth Clark of ODOT says the planning phase of the proposal is almost finished.
