UPDATE: Findlay Man Dead After Pedestrian Accident On State Route 568 East Of Findlay

Area EMS crews responded to a crash near the intersection of State Route 568 and County Road 236 on Findlay’s east side this morning. The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened around 7:15 a.m. involving a car and a pedestrian. 62-year-old Mark Hochstettler of Findlay was crossing State Route 568 when he was struck by 28-year-old Tyler Smith of Vanlue.

Medical personnel pronounced Hochstettler dead at the scene. Smith was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
