ELECTION RESULTS: Van Buren Renewal Levy Passes

11/6/18 – 9:45 p.m.

Voters in the Van Buren school district have passed a 6-mill renewal levy. 60 percent of the ballots cast were in favor of the measure. 4.5 mills goes toward operations while 1.5 mills pays for permanent improvements.

The levy’s passage means it is now a continuing levy for the district, rather than needing renewed every five years.
