ELECTION RESULTS: Vanlue Renewal Levy Fails

The Vanlue school district’s bid to replace a 6-mill emergency levy with a continuing levy for the same amount has failed. A little more than 60 votes were the difference, as 54 percent of the ballots cast went against the issue.

Vanlue Superintendent Traci Conley has said they wanted to change to a continuing levy to avoid confusion. Money from the levy pays for items like building upgrades.
