Erosion Damaging Ottawa Cemetery
7/5/17 – 5:04 A.M.
Erosion from the Blanchard River is threatening a cemetery in Ottawa. The Putnam County Sentinel reports currents from the river have partially exposed at least two caskets at the Pomeroy Cemetery. The newspaper reports parts of monuments have also fallen into the riverbed along the north edge of the cemetery.
Pomeroy Cemetery sits off of Williamstown Road on the south side of Ottawa.
