A Findlay man is facing charges stemming from a June crash on I-75 in Wood County that killed an unborn child. The Sentinel-Tribune reports Eric Ramirez will face counts of reckless operation and failure to wear a seatbelt stemming from the June 6 crash near Cygnet.
The State Highway Patrol says Ramirez was driving north on the interstate when he lost control and hit another car driven by Maria Simon. A passenger in Ramirez’s car, Lori Cox, lost her unborn child in the collision. Simon, her husband, and her mother all suffered injuries. Simon told the Sentinel-Tribune that her mother is now paralyzed from the neck down.
