Forest Man Killed In Friday Crash

Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in a crash that took the life of a Forest man late last week. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office reports the crash happened around 8:50 p.m. on County Road 20 just west of the village.

Kevin Sampson was driving east when he drove off the side of the road. He overcorrected and lost control. Sampson’s pickup truck began to roll, ejecting him from the cab.

A medical helicopter took Sampson to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, but he died a few hours after he arrived.
