Fostoria Man Hit His Gas Meter With His Car, Gets OVI

A Fostoria man is in trouble after he hit a gas meter as he was trying to back into his driveway Wednesday. The Advertiser-Tribune reports that 61-year-old Ronald Bare was trying to back into his driveway around 5 p.m. while intoxicated. Instead, he struck the gas meter on his mobile home two or three times before he finally backed into the driveway.

Officers charged Bare with an OVI. He and his two passengers were not injured. Columbia gas turned off the gas and returned to fix the meter which was broken off below ground.
